DJLunacy
I've read various guides as to how to install the correct way. I encountered many challenges along the way. I will write up my own quick guide shortly as to what steps I had to take. A few things I am trying to get squared away. On my test build before I re-did it again and migrated I had no Orange Icons on my Internal Hard Drives. For some reason they are back again. My Internal audio isn't working despite me using VoodooHDA. My firewire is functional! My Bluetooth module appears to be half assed and only did certain functions in 10.5 haven't test it in 10.6 yet. Marvell Yukon Gigabit Adapter is listed in Slot-1 and the other one is listed as Ethernet. I am using the Marvell Controller. My Time Capsule is crapping out during a time machine backup. It's telling me the backup disk isn't available but was initially and did perform "SOME" of a backup.. --- Anybody else having this issues and have any advice? Shutdown & Restart appear to function perfect (YEA!) Haven't tested sleep and resume from sleep. Anybody from a Retail install upgrade to 10.6.4 -- I would love to upgrade but don't want to do so until this is perfected and BACKED-UP! Thank You Everybody. sandni99a
Is the only way to install 10.6.x on a P5B to do it within a prior install of OSX? Can 10.6.x be installed cleanly? It would be nice to have a solution like puting in a ##### cd and putting in a retail copy of OSX and the way you go. Look i can's see difference between my Retail Snow 10.6.0 updated to 10.6.4 and Clean Snow 10.6.4. I have installed 10.6.4 update today, but it's not resolve my problem with sleep.
