Thank you so much for posting this!

I've been trying to get a stable version of OSX on this board since 10.4.8. I have the older Pentium 4 chip which means I had to use the Qoopz 10.3 kernel, but everything works rock solid going by your guide.

Working:

Sound, Dual Monitors, Networking...all of it. Even the front panel USB's which were a little flaky with Hazard's release (MUCH LOVE HAZARD!!!)

....now if only I can get my old Wacom tablet to work with this....and get Autodesk's Smoke to install...

I'm curious to know if this works well on the DP43TF, if you've tested it yet?

Got the board (the 43TF), but waiting on RAM and processor. Likely going with a 10.5.7 (or lesser) install, since that appears most stable - and I don't have a bunch of extra hardware lying around should something go wrong (except this nettop), I'm looking at making that build my main machine (audio production work, streaming movies/TV, etc; Steam's the only reason I want 10.6.3, everything else I use for production at least runs on 10.4.11).

Great guide. The problem i have is i have a nvidia 8800 but i can't get it to work on my 46" LCD max resolution it goes to is 1660X1200 on Leopard 10.5.6 i had no problem displaying it. Are you able to run you current system on a Large LCD?

I can run it on a 20" monitor it's something about the HDMI and HDCP i think, do you have any ideas?

Thanks for the guide though.

I have the same specs of your machine but on my machine I can't pass the first screen of the iAtkos apple logo, just stay on loading and nothing else happens

Hi. I had the same problem. It took about 10 to 15 min until it loaded iatkos. Just make sure the is activity on the DVD drive. You must try iatkos S3 v1 and v2. For some reason sometimes the pc doesn't load properly. Try burning another copy also. Try another DVD drive. This is what I had tried.

Hey mate.

When you used all the options on the bootloader options for usb driver, did it fix the problem?

Do you get 25-30mb/s transfer rate on usb drives?

Select All the options for USB on Bootloader Options only. Do not select the USB from Patches

I do get fast usb transfer. If you have a front useb port, make sure its a usb 2.0 since some old cases have usb 1.0 at the front. Also, make sure you format your usb drive for NTFS. FAT is always a little slow. i hope this works.

I tried this on my PC (DG31PR, core 2 duo e6550, ATI HD4870) and with no success, each time I got the apple "please restart you computer" screen after boot.

What could I be missing?

here http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.6.3#Intel it says that in order to use a retail DVD I have tu update my BIOS, could it be related? (I tried updating BIOS from a windows installer but it failed)

(iAtkos v7 - 10.5.7 - runs fine with all devices functioning, is it possible to upgrade it to 10.6 and above?)

Hi, sorry for the delay, the email notifications are a bit slow. It could be the DVD-ROM, try a different one like SATA and/or IDE. I had a problem once and I had to use an old dvd-rom. I had bought a brand new SATA Sony DVD-burner and for some reason Mac OS could not detect it. I end up buying a SATA samsung drive and that one worked. also try using an nvidia card. I only use nvidia and have not tried other cards. that could be a reason too.

I hope this works for you.
