AppleAzallia.kext in E/E Folder

Hi,

 

I have the Chameleon boot loader with the Test7 kernel running on AMD (10.6.3) retail install. My sound card ID is this:

 

00:14.2 Audio device [0403]: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) [1002:4383].

 

The problem I have is that the AppleAzalia.kext loads fine from S/L/E folder - but when I move it into the Extra/Extensions folder it fails at load time. I always rebuild my caches after moving KEXT around.

 

I suspect it's a sequence issue. Are kexts in E/E loaded before S/L/E or after?

 

Is this a common problem?

 

I have some things that work but shoudn't because the associated KEXT is not listed as loaded extensions (for example AppleATIATA.kex is in my E/E folder and my SATA and PATA work but not listed).

 

I have an Asus m2a-vm with an ATI SB600 chipset. (690).
