scousi
Installing Xcode screwed up my AMD 10.6.3 Snow Leopard installation. If you install Xcode, untick the System Utilities checkbox. The problem is with CHUD. If you happen to have problems with CHUD related KP, boot in safe mode -x) and run CHUD Remover - which is an application part of Xcode in the developer folder. Delete your mkext cache and reboot. Almost had a heart attack after finally getting my Snow working on a {censored} of a motherboard (Asus M2A-VM) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/221136-be-careful-with-xcode/ Share on other sites

scousi
Thanks for sharing this tip .. Luckily I never had any problems installing Xcode and all it's components .. Probably depends on your H/W. CHUD is intrusive so the kernel used probably has something to do with it. spaas
Thanks for the warning indeed, I was planning on installing this. Was the error created from an unmodded install?
