De-Rail
Hello, I have searched the forum here, and have found some of the threads about the 10.4.6 installer hanging on 'Installing Essentials' and I am told to restart the installer -- but the solutions either do not work or are not feasible. For example, I cannot try a different drive, as I only have one DVD-ROM drive for my laptop. What is puzzling is: I tried installing in VMWare off of the DVD and it installed the Essentials packages with no problem. Now I am left with the question of how I can make my system a single boot system, if booting directly off of the DVD does not result in an error free install. edit- have also tried multiple DVD's of different brands at their lowest speeds but still no go Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you very much Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22086-installing-essentials-snag/ Share on other sites
