Hi guys. I built my own hackintosh, I bought a supported motherboard with an intel 915 video, QE and core image work really cool, but I have an important problem: The monitor doesn't work well. There are times when I boot osx and the monitor gets ok its resolutions, but when I boot again (it can be any time) the monitor just show the boot image (the apple and the gif that indicates it's charging/loading the system) and then the monitor gets black, and to get it working I have to restart a lot of times until osx gets a resolution according to the monitor. When I'm on osx I can change the resolutions according to the monitor (it's a 14" crt, 1024x768 at 60Hz is its native resolution), so I change it to that resolutions and it works ok, but then, when I poweroff the pc, and I turn on it I got the same problem and I have to restart a lot of times again to get the monitor working with osx. I don't have money to change the monitor, if I had I'll buy a lcd monitor :-)

P.D.:

1. The monitor trademark is "Win" it's unknown and osx doesn't recognizes it (osx shows it as: generic monitor), other thing: on windows it runs very well.

2. I tried adding some lines to the boot.plist, but it's for unsupported graphics (vesa), abd I have an intel 915 which is supported, so it didni't take any effects.

Any Ideas?

Thanks guys! greets from Chile, and sorry my poor english :-)

hey,

Follow this exactly http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...he_boot_options

Use the quotes and everything. If it doesn't work then its because your monitor if just too old. Save up some money and get a newer CRT or LCD.
