sehgalanuj
Hi, I am trying to set up my laptop so I can use a partition bigger than 6GB for OS X, but when I try to boot off the darwin install CD, it gets to the part of loading the OS and then shows the Mac logo and exists with a kernel panic and the message: Waiting for remote debugger No debugger configured Before this error message it has a mac address listed which is all 0s. Can someone please help!?!?! Anuj Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2208-darwin-install-cd-doesnt-bood/ Share on other sites

sehgalanuj
I will try the platform thing tonight. I have never done a darwin install before so I would not know if there should or shouldn't be an apple screen, but I do get it when the kernel panic happens. But wait, you said you're getting a kernel panic? Would you be so kind and give us just a little hint about the panic, so guessing what might be your problem will be a little bit easier? Infact, all my hardware works without any problems. sehgalanuj
Now I am wondering if it something wrong with the CD I am using. I just tried installing Darwin on my desktop PC and it boots up to the bootloader on the CD and then starts loading the OS from the CD and proceeds to just reboot the machine. I have tried the a few times now. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2208-darwin-install-cd-doesnt-bood/#findComment-15475 Share on other sites
