I have 3 SATA drives.

1: Dual partitioned 250 / 250 with 2 OS X 10.6.3's Main / Backup

2: 400 gig Storage drive (no system, just files)

3: 500 gig Time Machine Backup

I was running Remote desktop and I did a remote shutdown (force shutdown) and when I got home my mac was stuck in the booting process before you get to the screen where you select what drive to boot (the apple icons in chameleon)

the bios loads, then I see

boot.img

then I see

/ | \ | / | \ | / (the animation of the slash)

and it freezes at the / sometimes at | but usually just freezes after one spin of the slashes.

If i UNPLUG my Time machine backup SATA drive the system boots all the way up...

This USE to work before i did force shutdown in remote desktop.

anyone know why this time machine backup is hanging my boot process and there is no way to format it or etc since I can't even get it to boot up with it connected.

and I can connect it to my PC and it shows up in Mac drive, and i can see all the time machine files...
