I just can't, its so fast, I've no choice to start with any -x or -s or whatever... I don't know what to do, it's not fine to have one laptop with an external cd for booting :-( Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/220517-boot-loader-not-loading/#findComment-1484584 Share on other sites
Beerkex'd
Examine the configuration on your boot CD and replicate it on the bootloader installation on your HD. Kernel extensions, com.apple.Boot.plist, smbios.plist, the works. Hello, I'm so confused, there are so many treads abaut bottloaders, maybe its stupid ask this, but Isn't there a global solution to make a simple bootloader? this is vanilla instal, from retail 10.5.6, then updated with software update until 10.5.8. In nektas blog, I downloaded PC EFI v9 Chameleon Bootloader, but i read there that I should replace the installed boot file with one update, but I can't find how to do that, its an invisible file, I can't replace it. The hd has 3 partitions, one for the osX, one for the efi and one for install win xp (not installed yet) I believe I'm near, but something is missing here. pluda
I used EFI tools and reformated the efi partition and now I've a text boot, ugly but functional directly from hd, no cd needed anymore, but with this one I an't install xp in the 2nd partition. A noob question, how do I know what is needed to make chameleon efi boot?
