I'm trying to install 10.6.3 to my new Asus based P6T Hack, but every time I get to Disk Utility to format my drives, GUID, It just spins the colored pinwheel at "Unmounting drive".

I've got my BIOS (latest 1303) settings set according to this thread:

I've got my optical drive connected to SATA port 1 and all 4 drives to each successive port. SMART is enable.

Very frustrating.

12GB RAM

i7-930 CPU

Using tonymac's ##### Supported as my boot CD.

Hi

I have a P6t SE and even if this sound crazy, the only way to avoid that problem is

ONLY HAVE CONNECTED 1 SATA hdd IN THE SATA 1 CONNECTOR.

Disconnect everything else, except the DVD and try again.

Once you get all working, shut down and plug everything else.

Cheers
