Using just the original DVD and the patched oah750d, i have successfully installed osx86 on an ASRock Dual915-775 with a celeron 330j and 512MB of pc3200 RAM. i have yet to run xbench, but everything else is working fine.

audio had to be installed with te appleAC97 kext and i am able to connect to the internet via the belkin 7050 card with the ralink drivers.

overall, this took less than two hours to set up and boots much faster than my mini.

xbench will come next, then this box will be set to dual boot xp, osx86, and mandrake.

ciao,

kms

I think I'm using the exact same motherboard and processor. Except I could use the onboard network without doing anything special.

Also, sadly or not, it runs faster than my 1GHz G4 iBook at everything native, and almost as fast at Rosetta stuff. Now that I know it works, I kind of wish I'd splurged for the P4 505 with 1MB L2 and HT.

i now have a triple booting box with windows xp, os x, and mandrake. i use grub for my boot loader. be sure to mark to os x partition as active using fdisk (otherwise you will end up booting to xp alone).

i ran some benchmarks. my overall xbench was : 24.95. i upped my FSB to 150 (from 133) and the xbench increased to 35.95.

itunes works fine via the network (i am sharing another box's library). printing through the wlan works fine with bonjour.

the ralink utility is a little flakey connecting to the network, but eventually connects.

I built a system using that board and a P4 2.4GHz processor, yet to install Windows on this machine yet.

My machine looks a bit like an Anti-Mac. I bought a case that looks macish but dark, I'm using a Microsoft keyboard (but going to pick up an apple keyboard tomorrow) which is dark, dark mouse, dark display, dark theme!

It is pretty nice though, and pretty stable :( I watched a few DVD's eariler.
