MudiW
Well, I have tried so many programs to install mac on Windows, for more than a month. Iatkos Kalyway Ideneb And so on, the best I got was a mac with 10 mins of internet, no sound, and can't change the screen resolution. So I have decided to post here to see if I can get a good software such as virtual pc but to have a virtual mac. I have used google but that just confused me more. Is vmware workstation able to install mac on windows? I just need the best program you know to easily install mac on windows without hardware problems. When I say "easily" I don't expect a 3 steps software, but I'm not expecting the same problems I had with iatkos, etc. I have Windows 7. LeXa2
Your first try might be this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=207334 If you don't feel yourself adventurous and experienced enough to self-install Mac OS - try to download already cooked VMware Mac OS X image from the web (torrents would be your best friends with it). Keep in mind that you WOULD CERTAINLY FACE THE PROBLEMS WITH THE MAC OS VANILLA KERNEL AS YOUR CPU IS AMD Phenom. So you would either have to use patched AMD/Intel kernel when trying to install yourself or to download the VMware image with the AMD/Intel kernel pre-installed. MudiW
Okay after waiting a LOT. Finally it finished downloading 8 GB for vmware. However I just noticed that in the instructions that I need an Intel processor, or I should download another torrent that is amd.(8 gb more). But I saw you talked about a patch, tried googling, but I get amd torrents of kalyway, vmware amd, (6GB+) Any suggestion? Thanks
LeXa2
Any suggestion? 1. Give your downloaded image a try. You might be lucky enough and it might work. 2. If it don't work you may wish to read a lot about hackintosh/OSx86, especially about using Empire EFI, Chameleon bootloader and about the downloading/installing patched kernels compatible with the AMD processors. Using the gained knowledge you will be able to boot into the image with help of the Empire EFI and install new kernel/updated bootloader. I would not provide you any help on this way as all the required steps are well-described in numerous tutorials all over the web, so just google/read/rinse/repeat. 3. In case you don't want to google/read/experiment/repeat for unknown period of time - simply re-download correct VMware VM image compatible with your AMD Phenom CPU and use it. It is impossible to provide you with more detailed advices as I have no idea about the contents of the VMware image you had downloaded (there are hundreds of VMware Mac OS images torrenting around, so the best approach for unexperienced man would be "find the one that works on your hardware"). MudiW
I found the image, and worked. It's slow, so I have been googling for possible solutions. Seems normal, since lot of people have reported the same problem. I found the image 20 mins after. I was just installing everything before posting, to check if there was a bug before.
