:P I tried Hazard's distro, tried Snow 10A432 = no joy.

It reboots itself after success install(s)

May boot with -v cpus=1 busratio=17, but KP's next to it.

Anyone came across a success install with this machine?

Please guide me, Thank You.

Okay,

After 47th times of attempt, I managed to get it working.

Costomised install of Hazard's without Graphic Enabler works.

Graphics = any of NVInject nor ATI_ATY_init.kext doesn't seems to work.

I've edited the boot.plist in S/L/E and it works with 1366x768x32.

I need to have this to work :-

- 310M with QE/CI

- WiFi

I halt the progress to read more form the netizens here.

Gurus...... say some'n dude......

TQ.

Hi,

Keep an eye on this thread.

It's basically the same board and it is starting to get cracked.

I am approaching this though from retail DVD - I hate distros as though they might make things easier to a point you never know exactly what is going on. IMO better to start from the retail and to pay the ridiculously small amount for it than to go with illegal stuff that you don't know what has been done by Apple and what has come from the developer....just my 2 cents.

On my 3500 there is full resolution and QE/CI without any injector at all. Just got graphicsEnabler=yes in the boot plist - I am not even sure if it needs that but anyway this works.

Wifi can't seem to get working yet without swapping the card. Even tried to flash the card to a new identity of Apple, but Ubuntu didn't fully recognise it and would not let me flash it - odd because i have flashed two other Dell cards before with no problem.

Sleep not working yet (anyone got it?), also shutdown is not all the way yet (needs you to hold "off" switch). If anyone has progress on those issues please share.

Hi guys,

I have a Vostro 3400 and after abandoning the OS X idea after a while, i'm now back at it.

My recipe is : latest #####-Supported with Mac OS X 10.6.3 Retail DVD.

It installs fine and here is the status with a 100% vanilla boot in 10.6.4 :

1 USB hub working great.

Video working 100%

Sound working but volume control makes no difference

After installing the Bluetooth 1.2 package, i got the Bluetooth to work.

My biggest problem right now is that i can't get the second USB hub to work. The worst part is that this hub is the one responsible for the external USB ports :s

If any one manages to get that to work, please let me know as i'm pulling my hair here..

I also messed up with ##### and i can only boot from the #####-Supported CD now. Booting from the HD gives instant KP.
