Hello InsanelyMac,

I'm relatively new to the whole Hackintosh thing so im very sorry if i repost something already asked.

I'm running Leo4all v3 (10.5.2), and im wanting to use the iDeneb Combo Update Kit to get to 10.5.8.

But im not very clear on the proccess to use.

When i installed Leo4all i used the default kernel selected no vanilla or anything aswell as the default boot-loader which wasn't specifically mentioned.

So i hope that can help.

Also i run:

Pentium 4 3.2Ghz

Nvidia Gefore 6600GT 128mb

1.5 DDR1 Ram

60GB IDE HDD

If that helps, could i please have a tutorial or some sort of instructions to follow to update my system, i dont want to reinstall all over again.

Thankyou.

You are most definitely NOT using Vanilla kernel because it does not support P4 processors. I would guess Voodoo kernel but I'm not sure what kernels are included in that distro.

To update You can try this:

The first thing I would suggest is MAKE A TIME MACHINE BACKUP BEFORE UPDATING!

Then.....

MAKE A TIME MACHINE BACKUP BEFORE UPDATING! (Subtle Hint)

If the update bricks your system you can just restore the time machine backup, install a bootloader and your system is back. Then you can try again....and again....and again.....and again. LOL

Sadly, I have not had any luck updating my P4 system from 10.5.6 to 10.5.8 successfully but others have so give it a try.

Most importantly....... Have Fun!

HTH
