Just for the record, Ive installed Snow on an Intel DP55KG extreme Mobo.

Specs:

Intel Dp55KG mobo

i7Core 860 (8 cores)

8 GB DDR3

1 TB WD HDD

XFX Nvidia GT220---> later used Nvidia GTS 8600

wireless keyboard and mouse

Install process:

BIOS: all available options ON (VT, SpeedStep, AHCI, HPET,etc).

Procedure:

Since I installed from another Snow HDD, it was fast and easy (USB drive with SNow 10.6.3 without any dsdt.aml or funny kexts). Just mount the image and go thru the standard install process from another drive.

Upgraded from 10.6.0 to 10.6.3.

Added kext from Macloader (NullCPU, OpenHaltRestart,PlatfomUUID, NO SLEEPER(panic)) latest version into the Extra folder.

Chameleon RC4 by hand (fdisk and dd from terminal).

Did not add kexts form Chameleon (lazy).

DSDT by hand, modded RTC to 0x02.

Post Install:

Booted without problems...no sound

ALL 8 CORES ACTIVE (Menumeter). Very fast.....

Added with KextHelper RTLE1000E package for NIC.

Using EFIStudio added GTX285 since no GT220 present.

Added VoodooHDA for sound.

Reboot.

Sound meter goes up and down, BUT NO SOUND!

NIC Ok.

QE/CI on ONE Video.

Drives are Orange (External).

Added Kexts from Chameleon, connected second Video.

Rebooted

NO VIDEO at all.

Took one video out and rebooted. RTC Fix not working. CMOS reset.

Video with QE/CI still no sound and now standard icons for HDDs (Chameleon kexts did the trick).

Video Soluiton: Long story short, NVCAP for GT220 is not the correct one. Got the NVCAP from windows and with EFIStudio GTX285 option changed the NVCAP.

SHutdown and On again (restart not working)

TWO videos with QE/CI, stilll no sound.

SOUND: After a week of doing all imaginable alternatives, EnableHDA, AppleHDA mods, legacyHDA, DSDT mods still didnt work although sound meters does mark. My guess, its the GT220 (has HDMI) and VoodooHDA goes nuts and can not output sound (tried ALL plugs just in case). Solution (DUMB) changed Video Card to old GTS 8600.

Reboot

SOUND OK.

NIC working.

Two videos with QE/CI.

8 Cores actives.

8GB seend by OSX.

Works in 32 and 64 bits (need to kextcache the Extra Kexts for 64 bits).

Bluetooth working (OOTB).

Sleep working.

Restart NOT WORKING.

Shutdown working.

All apps working (CS4, Office, XBMC, Xcode, etc).

NVCAP for GT220 to replace in EFIStudio BAAAAAAAAQAGAAAAAAAABwAAAAA=

Thats all folks.
