00diabolic
I have a Lenovo n200 with the following specs.. I last ran Jaz 10.5.4 and had fan issues as a primary concern & gave up on OSX due to overheating. Now back on 10.6.2 Snow Universal and working out minor bugs as system is almost 100% with fan working as it does in Win7. Specs are as follows. Lenovo 3000 N200 0769AVU Laptop 4gb Ram 667mhz Core 2 Duo t9300 @ 2.5 ghz on 965 Express ICH8-M 800FSB x3100 graphics BCM4328 shows as Airport ALC862 Sound HDA loaded with voodooHDA ________________________________________________________________________________ Here is a list of outstanding issues after install and some I've fixed. 1. I have a synaptics touchpad. Looking for better support for this. I used to use a special appleps2controller.kext which would load all sorts of options including scrolling for synaptics. Still looking for this for 10.6.2. I have it working with basic options for now. Anyone know how to get better synaptics support? Found Synaptics pref pane & seems to offer all I was looking for. 2. VoodooHDA dated feb 2010 (same used on thinkpad t61) works great except will not mute internal mic while using external mic. Not sure if this can be addressed by Superhai. 3. I have chameleon 2.0 RC3 which came with snow universal 10.6.2. It is unclear with the way chameleon works if I still need SMBios resolver? I have minor glitches in my about this mac. The issues are as follows with "about this mac" Editing the smbios.plist has solved all of my issues system info. A. CPU seen as 3ghz. This can be fixed with smbios.plist in chameleon also. B. CI/QE do not show in about this mac however seem to be full functional. I can use Imovie in 10.6.2 and transition effects work but why does it not say CI/QE supported? I still dont see CI/QE but I believe this is because those details were removed from system info with 10.6. Also new option called mirror is present. What is Mirror? Is that for dual monitor setups? 4. FSB is running at 738mhz and not 800MHZ. FSB Fixed with smbios.plist 5. Looking for a way to get the monitor to turn off or get sleep to work or both. Currently if I force sleep the system will not come back from sleep. This is with sleepenabler.kext 10.6.2 or 10.6.x installed. I've installed a program called smart sleep. When I disable hibernate I get no sleep at all. As if the system can not make the first step towards sleep. Once I force the sleep the system can not wake up. All i want is the monitor to shut off. I could care less about sleep. 6. Looking for express card driver for 10.6.2. Does one exsist? 7. Looking for Richo SDHC card reader kext driver for 10.6.2, Testing the old Leopard driver.. I've heard it works. 8. Battery working with SuperHai voodoo power kext. If anyone can help address or has comments about these issues I will be thankful. If someone has questions for me I will be glad to help where I can. 00diabolic
Anyone at all? Ive googled my head off..Nothing yet.. Help! EDIT: Ok I guess I'm going to answer all my own questions. I found out I was in 64bit mode this whole time and thought it was 32 because system settings says 32bit above it. Low and beyond I'm in 64bit and no wonder I cant get the screen to shut off. Its a known issue with real macs with x3100. So I'm now booting in 32bit and my sleep or at least monitor turn off issue is no more. Wow now I can truly enjoy the SL experience knowing my LCD wont die so soon.
