cyberderf
I have a Gigabyte EP45-UD3L with F9 bios and I did the CTRL-F1 trick, but still it seems 'Virtualization technology' option does not appear in advanced bios menu. I need to enable it in order to make WIN7 works on VMware Fusion. Can this be related to my E5200 CPU ?

Donk
Thanks Donk. I have ran the program and attached is the output. Pls advice if it is possible to turn it on. Thanks Sorry it can't be enabled as it is in the "Locked Off" state. That is because the BIOS has switched VT-x off and locked the MSR registers such that VT-x cannot be enabled in software. Maybe there is a hacked BIOS someone has made to enable it, but I couldn't find anything on the web. Sorry to have to give you the bad news. So, is there anyway I can run either Leopard or SnowLeopard on my machine? I have a Tiger working successfully. When I run Leopard, the system keeps rebooting and went I tried to do so with SL, I received the invalid front bus error message. I have tried restoring the SL dmg file with my Tiger but I cannot run the osinstall.mpkg. I read that I need at least a Leopard to do it. So now I am trying to restore my Leopard image and crossing my finger.
