Don Luca Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 Hi, Yesterday I tried plugging my Eyetoy camera in my hackintosh and it was immediatly recognized in the System Profiler but... how can I verify if it's working? I've tried using QuickTime but it didn't work... and since I don't have a Mac or an AOL account I cannot test it in iChat either. Can anyone help me? thanks! Neonkoala Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 Although there are Windows drivers for the Eyetoy webcam I am pretty sure there are no hacked drivers for Mac OS X yet (as far as I am aware). Because I was searching for them a while ago - although there is an OSX project on sourceforge that seeks to write as many USB webcam drivers as possible, so may write eyetoy ones in the future. The windows drivers use some hacked together D-LINK VGA webcam drivers so it might be possible to use the correct ones and change the DevID and VenID.
