I run a installer of borland tegether, which is actually a PowerPC application It takes 2G of virtual ram and around 85% CPU time with 17 threads... Oh my god... my opteron 146 is {censored}... Order2Chaos Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 A good test would be trying the same thing on an intel Mac , I bet it will still run like {censored}. Some things just emulate better in rosetta than others , sounds like you are trying to run some kind of pro app which may be designed/optimized for the G5. I only have SSE2 but Maya 7 works suprizingly well in rosetta , on the other hand Flash runs slow as hell in rosetta... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
