  1. Hi, all I have an AMD system, and I've updated my system to 10.5.4, using Everything works fine except the kernel Now I'm stuck with 9.1 kernel, I've tried to use 9.2, 9.3, 9.4 modbin kernels, all gives me the same error (start with -f) dsmos: initialize dsmos: hook and decryption context set! panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A8CD4) kernel trap at 0x3C312618, type 13=general protection (error1) The weird thing is, if I restart the pc without -f now, it gives me error telling "can't dertermine immediate dependencies for extension com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" (error2) Can someone help me with this ? I installed the system using retail DVD and updated it to 10.5.3, then to 10.5.4 PC efi v8 installed, using GUID partition table System : Opteron 146 ASUS A8N5x ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro
  2. Can I use this decrypts on 10.5.3 combo update ? My system is 10.5.1, installed using 10.5.1 decrypts
  3. While Leopard handles pdf quicklook in a pretty nice way, most of my books are in CHM format, well I use chmox to read it, but it doesn't change the fact that it looks uglily in my finder, in the quicklook, especially when there're pdfs besides it. So I decided to make a quicklook plugin for my CHMs, since there're some others for zip, xml, folder out there, I know it can be done, and here it is, the 1.0 release ! Download here https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...group_id=211847 Oh yes, about how to install Unzip it, take the proper package for you, put it inside /System/Library/Quicklook, and relaunch finder, enjoy !
  4. another agree here, though i'm not using a USB but another partition of my bootable disk, it's WAAAAAAY faster If I wasn't taking this approach, I won't be able to write this post in my AMD 10.5.1

  6. [HOW TO] ATI Radeon HD2600 Series for Hackintosh

Hi, lastExile, when you say "ATIRadeonX2000GLDriver.bundle from older version of Leopard", which one do you mean exactly ? I dont have white menu in 10.5.0, so I copied ATIRadeonX2000GLDriver.bundle from 10.5.0 which is version 16 to replace the version 18 bundle in 10.5.1, but it still end up with white menus... I tried to replace all ATIRadeonX2000GA.plugin, ATIRadeonX2000GLDriver.bundle, ATIRadeonX2000VADriver.bundle using 1.5.16 from 9A581, still white menus Do you mean older leopard version than 10.5.0(9A581)? If so can you PM me a link or the exact version or something ? Thanks !
  7. [HOW TO] ATI Radeon HD2600 Series for Hackintosh

chival4ry, The SAME here All menus are white, text only appear briefly when I click mouse outside the menu to dispose it ... Anyone knows a fix to this ? System : AMD Opteron 146 2G HD 2600 PRO 256M DDRII 10.5.1 + pc_efi_v5.2 And if I install the patch on 10.5.0, menus are OK, resolution can change, but no QE/CI
  8. Well, lastExile gave me an url, For the others who are interested http://netkas.freeflux.net/blog/archive/20...full-qe-ci.html it seems not fully working yet
  9. My X1600 just failed yestoday, and now I'm going to take a new video card. After a little search on the web, I think Radeon HD 2600 is cheap and also quite powerful Just want to know will this card work with hacintosh ? My old 10.4.8 works well with X1600, I don't want to break it
  10. 10.4.9 from 10.4.8 ( Easier Way )

When I wanted to roll back to 10.4.8, it did say "you have a newer version installed", and this forced me to erase the whole disc...
  11. I just created a class, instantated an object in interface builder classes view, and add awakeFromNib to the class. But when I debug the project, I find awakeFromNib is not executed... why? P.S. I find in the documentation says, object created in interface builder classes view won't recieve awakeFromNib message, is it the reason ? But if I can't create the object in interface builder, how can I put it in nib file ? I know this is stupid question, forgive me I can't find an answer... please help...

  13. Hi, I just got a HP V3159, the hardware spec is like below, CPU, AMD Turion64*2, support SSE3 Vedio card, nvidia gf Go 6150 512M RAM I put the AMD_TEST1_PPF2 into dvd-rom and restart the machine, it asks me to press any key to start osx installation. But when I pressed the button, it just freesed at "loading darwin"... I've also tried to connect a external monitor, usb mouse and usb keyboard, no luck of getting it boot into darwin And there's not much things I can config in bios, actually it seems i can only change boot sequence... I've used this DISC installed a fine-working system on my desktop, so it's not a problem of the DISC Any ideas?
  14. I'm not sure if I want a refurbished Macbook, because I heard Macbook has many problems and how can a refurbished one be good? Apple sells new MacBook here for 1300$(the cheapest type) I think if I only want one core, working video card, working audio, USB..., it cant be that expensive, for a normal laptop Keep waiting for info, thanks !
  15. Hi, all I'm planning to get a new laptop recently, after I have installed my desktop as a hacintosh, I really want to have a nice laptop hacintosh. The real mac in my country is just too expensive to afford. So, basicly I want to have a laptop has the following components working Dual core (if it is dual core, but I want it to have SSE3 support mandatory) Sound (both out and in) Cam (if it has any) USB Vedio (changeable resolution && QE && CI) Network adopter output to a projector/TV The following components I dont really care about Card reader wifi Touch pad Other possiable components I checked wiki for info, but it seems almost all prototype listed there have various issues. Please, any information would be helpful, thanks in advance~
