_Jay_
ps : the sound don't work , same with last voodoo kext... and i must boot with "cpus=1" EDIT: sata is on AHCI , IDE : "disable" , firewire : "enable", USB EHCI : "enable" anyone have idea please ? a suggestion or solution ? regards I have the MA790X-ud4p and I had Leopard but now running snow leopard. In my bios I AM using AHCI with IDE, not sure why you have yours disabled. Your sound is the ALC888 or ALC889a seing that we have pretty much the same board I'll bet it's the ALC889a. As for your wifi ditch it. Get a linksys WUSB100 for $30. It uses the ralink chipset and those guys are updating like crazy to keep up with snow leopard. I would suggest your get IPCx86 10.5.6 and upgrade to 10.5.8 through software update and reinstall chameleon to boot up. I'll try and post what options I chose when I installed leopard on my rig. _Jay_
Sound is the only thing I don't have on my SL cause my motherboard uses the ALC889a as well. I read around and saw that there are dsdt hacks to enable sound on those devices but I'm a little bit of a chicken to go that far for it. Right now I'm using my bluetooth Motorola S805s headset. Edit: Wait, I just realized that you already HAVE it installed. Try and find out what chipset your wifi card uses. As for your audio, see if you can find the right kext file for your ALC889a online. That's the easy way. But I always thought that Leopard updates came with support for alc889a?! Or I'm mistaken. If all else fails, try and get a copy of the IPCx86 10.5.6 I was talking about earlier, boot it up and select only the audio drivers. That should work cause that's what I did to get my sound working on Leopard. Hope that helps.
ramax
i know the chipset of my wifi card and all chipsets of my computer but the kexts of sound ( alc889a ) and wifi ( realtek 8187 ) don't work corectly. I think there is an incompatibility between the wifi card and some kext of the motherboard ... but witch i download IPC x86 ... for trying EDIT (may 6 2010) : IPC don't work, install ok but crash directly on boot ... jammol witch kext and fix are you select ?
