Hi guys

I'm bit desperate. I've HP8530W/NVIDIA FX770M. I use it with HP Advanced Docking

station and I've a external monitor connected to DVI port in the docking station. The

docking station has VGA out as well.

I'm not able to use the external monitor when I boot into Leopard. It works great

when I boot into Windoze 7.

I use GraphicsEnabler option in Chamelon to get QE/CI. I tried various injectors

too with various NVCAP values. No luck.

If I remove any injectors including GraphicsEnabler option in com.apple.Boot.plist,

then I get DVI out but the resolution is limited and of course no QE/CI.

When the injectors/GraphicsEnabler enabled, if I boot the laptop with Lid closed,

up to certain point I can see the output on the external monitor. I think once

the graphics drivers are loaded I lose DVI output and the output goes to LCD.

So I think this could be resolved with proper NVCAP.

Could someone explain the output from NVEnabler? Particularly, where I can

find more info LVDS entries and what does channel 1: 21 and channel 2:de

means? How to interpret those values?

Interestingly, I'm seeing same behavoiour on Ubuntu as well. I'm not getting DVI output and on

VGA the resolution is limited to 2048x1152.

However, the nouveou driver seem to find more outputs/connector during boot

whereas NVEnabler found only 2 (LVDS)

Unlike NVEnabler, nouveau is open source so hopefully I can get some

more output from their debug to post at nouveau forums.
