TonyKL
Hi Guys, Hoping someone can help me as its driving me insane. I have a printer (Brother Laser) shared over SMB from a Windows XP Pro machine. All other machines (including XP running in Parallels on the MacBook) can connect but the MacBook is unable to use the printer. If I try to connect to my server from the printer utility I get a request for user/pass but this is rejected (even though I enter valid credentials). Also I've tried the advance config (hold down option when clicking 'more printers') but this doesnt work either I've installed 'TCP printing for UNIX' on XP as was suggested somewhere on the net but still no joy. MacBook can connect to the SMB shares just not able to use the printer. Any suggestions would be great as this is the only problem I have with the MacBook and printing is pretty essential for me. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/21664-cant-connect-to-smb-printer/ Share on other sites
