85734763
Hello, I have a MSI NX8500GT-MTD256EH GeForce 8500 GT 256MB that I bought from newegg at least 1.5 years ago. I had it working under 10.6.2, then got a black screen when I updated to 6.3, so I had to restart the whole process of getting video to work on my hack. I have followed some peoples ideas of copying older NVDAR files for S/L/E with no success. I have added my device IDs to everything I can think of, and edited the com.apple.boot.plist with my device ids, everything is fully recognized, I have every resolution option, but no QE / CL. This is an HDMI connection also. I have read that the "OpenGL.framework" and "OpenCL.framework" need to be copied into my s/l/e from 10.6.2, if this is the case, can someone upload theirs and post the link to download them as I no longer have anything from 10.6.2 on my computer. Also, here is how I copied my device ids into the extension files.. maybe i did it wrong? for NVDAResman.kext <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x042110de&0xfff8ffff 0x017010de&0xfff8ffff 0x017910de 0x018010de&0xfff8ffff 0x018810de 0x018910de 0x020010de&0xfff8ffff 0x025010de&0xfff8ffff 0x028010de&0xfff8ffff 0x030010de&0xfff8ffff 0x031010de&0xfff8ffff 0x031910de 0x034910de 0x05e010de&0xfff8ffff 0x05f010de&0xfff0ffff</string> I can confirm that that is my device id, just don't know if i did it right? Also, here are the graphics related files I have in my s/l/e folder.. Geforce.kext GeForce8xxxGLDriver.bundle GeForceFXGLDriver.bundle GeForceGA.plugin GeForceVADriver.bundle NVDANV40Hal.kext NVDANV50Hal.kext NVDANV50Hal.kext.bak NVDAResman.kext NVDAResman.kext.bak NVEnabler 64.kext NVinject.kext This might also not be right because of all the different things i've tried, it might be messed up and I have to delete some things/am missing other things??? Here is what displays under graphics in system profiler: GeForce 8500 GT: Chipset Model: GeForce 8500 GT Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0421 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: Silent Natit x86_64 v1.0.2 Displays: Display Connector: Status: No Display Connected Hanns.G HG281: Resolution: 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Television: Yes Really hoping that this is a simple fix and I just missed something! haha..
