  1. 9600 GSO black screen with dual DVI Output

Hi again and thank you for your interest! I just have installed 1394build of Chameleon v2, ready for display-cfg, but I am still reading because I am new with display-cgf. And also I extracted ROM (uploaded to Megauplad here) using a USB-portable Windows XP and nvflash --new and I get a lot of info about my 9600 GSO. With this NVCAP code I generated a hex string using OSXtools, but I am getting blackscreen again... Also I tried ProjectOSX forum thread you said but I can't reply that post (I will try later) The weird thing for me is works PERFECT OOB (no injects or GFX strings) with 10.6.0 clean install, with it shows black screens with 10.6.1 to 10.6.8... I don't know if I can replace working 10.6.0 drivers to my current installation? Is that possible? Thank you again for your help!
  2. 9600 GSO black screen with dual DVI Output

Hi gringo and thank you for your interest. I reply bellow no, black screen yes, it seems S-Video This is that I usually do. I have LCD plugged in 1st DVI slot (closest mb), then when I see desktop ok... I plug projector and all is going black FYI LCD is using DVI to VGA adaptor, and projector is using DVI to HDMI adaptor Thank you again
  3. 9600 GSO black screen with dual DVI Output

Hi all, I have 10.6.0 *working* perfect installation with 2 x DVI output with 9600 GSO card 512 Mb (QE / CI, perfect, all res, double DVI outputs). When I update to 10.6.8 or even 10.7.0, it works BUT only with 1 DVI out. When I turn on second screen all is going to a a black screen... Then: Using 2 DVI Outputs (cinema Projector + Samsung LCD) = blackscreen Using 1 DVI Output only (Samsung LCD only) = works! (QE / CI, perfect, all res, double DVI outputs) I have read at wiki that this card works ok when I can't get it working. Do you know what would be cause for this weird problem?? I really need to update my system (because some software requeriments) but I am not sure if I can buy another GFX card Thank you very much for your help
  4. Thank you Kurculja, its seems a problem with 9600 GSO cards... It works very well at 10.6.0 but when I update to 10.6.6 or .7 or .8 it shows me a black screen when I have 2 DVI inputs in use (I really need both)... I really don't know how to solve It works very well with only 1 DVI Do you have any idea? Could you explain the process of obtaining / applying your string? Any idea would be very appreciated Thanks a lot
  5. Thanks for your patience... Now it works! BUT only if I have main screen connected only. I have 2 x DVI VGA outputs: If I have plugged cinema Projector + Samsung LCD = blackscreen If I have plugged Samsung LCD only = works! (QE / CI, perfect, all res) Please could you point me some ideas??? Thank you for your patience...
  6. Hi and thank you again but it fails with NvEnabler too Now I can see a squared cursor at top, left. I can write... I did 1 - fresh install (erase partition NEWHD) + SL installation (from my OLDHD running partition) 2 - Install Folder Extra.pkg from HackBootCD to NEWHD 3 - Boot from NEWHD very well (without HackBootCD), and I set up system, welcome video, and reboot well again. ----here my problem begins--- 4 - Install comboupdate 10.6.8 (don't reboot) 5 - Copy NVEnabler.kext to /Extra AND /Extra/Extensions 6 - reboot and blackscreen with strange squared cursor. Alternatively at Step 5, I did HEX injection to com.apple.Boot.plist from /Extra etc... My current file is <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(0,3)</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>y</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>arch=x86_32</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> </dict> </plist> I know is a GPU problem but I can't solve it I have GA-P35-DS3 + Nvidia 9600 GSO 512MB Thank you very much in advance, any idea would be very appreciated!
  7. Sorry, but I can't see anything with my black screen. Can I do from another partition? Thank you
  8. thank you, but sorry how can I enable it from another running partition? I have tried boot with hackCD but it fails no... Thank you again!
  9. Hi all! Thank you for this tutorial I have almost perfect GA-P35-DS3 + Geforce 9600. It runs perfect out of the box without any GFX String with 10.6.0, but when I update to 10.6.8 I am getting BLACK screen like "Kurculja" I have tried 1) arch=i386 -x -> BLACK screen again Then 2) generating HEX string (with Lazar, view Current Injection, save as .IN then export to HEX, then copy/paste to apple.com.apple.PLIST like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>1</string> <string>Yes</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>MYHEXSTRINGXXXXXXXXX</string> </dict> </plist> I am getting now BLACKSCREEN...Please could you help me?
  10. Autosleep-Script

awesome app! Thank you a lot for sharing it... I was on Gigabyte DS3 with ok sleep but not auto.sleep... Now it works!!!! You saved me a lot because my media center was running all day. I also would like to add some programs, for example Plex playing, or Movist playing... I mean not only opened apps (like resistant, that works perfect), I would like to check if is also playing like you did with Itunes, Dvd Player, Quickmovie, etc. Please can you point me where can I find some parameters? I tried with activiy monitor but I can't see anything Thank you a lot
  11. geforce 9600 10.6.1 problem

Hi all! My geforce 9600 is detected natively *perfect* on 10.6.0. It works OOB with all resolutions, quartz, DVI out, etc... I would like to update (using SleepEnabler) to 10.6., 1 but when it restarts I see black screen (both LCDs) ... It seems something has crashed my native support graphic card. Must I add strings or something else although it is natively supported? What could I do? Any ideas would be very appreciated! Thanks in advance

Hi and thanks for sharing it... I see a lot of files on your zip. Did you update your BIOS? I had a big problem in the past doing this and I would like to check if this is requierement Maybe it works if I copy *only" your Extra folder + installing Chameleon from 0.8.4 netbook installer + SleepEnabler? Do I need anymore files? What do you think? I ask you before make a destructive test Thanks for your opinion! Regards
