After I installed SL onto my computer, I noticed that my apple wifi doesn't work in 64 bit mode, but works perfectly in 32 bit mode.

I have the p5w dh deluxe, with a core 2 duo processor, and my wifi is some setup to work with airport (its actually airport extreme and is awesome when it works, wayyy better than whatever came on the p5w).

Has anyone heard anything about this/similar? Also, my USB 2.0 isn't working, and I think I've identified the kext I need to install, I wonder if those two are connected???

I'd really like to do this because I'm dyeing to upgrade to 8 gigs of ram!

Thanks for your input

Then you're liking to do it for the wrong reason.

Snow Leopard can use up to 32GB RAM when running the 32-bit kernel.
