gazzacbr Posted April 11, 2010 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Hi, i have acer 6920g with retail SL plus a few extra kexts. i have no sound from the ALC889a. suggestions for the easiest way to get it working please. i have read about voodooHDA, HDAEnabler and editing the DSDT and am better informed but none the wiser if i go for a DSDT patch (hardest i think) what kexts do i have to uninstall? edit: forgot to mention that Leopard is still working fine with sound, does that help? can i salvage anything from that to get sound on SL? also i am using mbr but most guides say guid, is that important or are all methods valid?
