I presume you mean the DSDT from post #44, and the SMBIOS from post #45?

Hi Mageus,

due to you are busy, the work is finally done by shoarthing and me in reliable teamwork :D .

Right now I got 100 % without issues anymore. But thank you very much for your offer.

How is you and your computer doing ???

My computer puts me to a hard acid test. I should not becoming calm. This night I got perpetually CMOS-Checksum-Errors after shuting down and starting new. After taking off the CMOS-Batterie and having for a short sleep, it seems to be getting rid of my new problem this morning.

Actually our mobos are brandnew and also CMOS-Battery should be full and working reliable ?!!!

. . . do you get this CMOS reset error *only* after a session where your ION-ITX has been in sleep state?
. . . do you get this CMOS reset error *only* after a session where your ION-ITX has been in sleep state?

Well the mess was starting with this. After sleep and waking up I had it for the first time with the next restarting.......and then continuing and continuing until the end I could not even start again for a single time, without CMOS reset error.

Seems to, I have to stay away from putting it into sleep in any case.

This morning until now no further errors......knocking on wood.

I'm acquainted by this kind of errors since my AMD-Machine occasionally gave me the same.

. . . yes, the key is as you entered it.

If there is a CMOS reset issue *only* after sleep & resume - as reported twice now - then presumably there is an issue between Chameleon & the wake image.

The key I suggested above is the only one I know of to change the default Chameleon behaviour to wake.

. . my suggestion is just an experiment, should you be interested. I do not use sleep.

Neither do I, because of my previous AMD-Machine never gave me a reliable sleep-function. Just wanted to try out everything yesterday and got this issue.

Untill today no further issues anymore.....and even 'sleep' seems working properly.

Shoarthing, some questions:

1) Which boot loader are you currently using?

The AnVAL version of chameleon you posted to previously is geared towards easy configuration and loading of ACPI tables, which many of us don't require (we just use one DSDT file). The chameleon trunk seems to have newer features than rc4, and may be useful for general fixes. Eugene's seems to be a custom branch off rc4, but may be superseded by the current trunk revision.

2) What functionality do the boot loader and boot files have, respectively?

Is the boot loader (e.g. boot0 or boot1h file) a simple second stage loader like grub? I.e. does it just select the partition and pass kernel options on? Or does it have more functionality than that.

Reason I ask, do I need to copy the boot loader to the MBR (or PBR) for each version of chameleon I try, or is it sufficient to just replace the boot file in root (and leave the 2.0 rc4 boot loader in the MBR)?

3) Is there any non-cosmetic purpose to smbios.plist? Does one even need the file to have a booting system?

4) Aside from USBLegacyOff, are there any com.apple.boot.plist options you recommend?

I'm hoping to try some more configuration permutations this weekend, and polish off a formal 10.6.3 guide.

Hello all

Here is my setup.

Welcome, Girl French. Nice avatar.

Yes, you can use Disk Utility to image your Snow Leopard install DVD onto a USB key, copy over eugene's files to the USB key, and you should be able to boot the USB key. Then install and copy the files over to your hard drive.

I'm planning on making a more comprehensive guide in the future, so please look out for it.

Unfortunately Zotac Itx does not support USB boot Mac OS X.

I try another method but without success because I think I have the wrong Chameleon

file and Extra.

Other method

1: HDD 2.5 ZOTAC to Hackintosh Pc

2: Installing Snow Leopard 10.6 Retail by the command: open / Volumes / Mac OS X

Install DVD / System / Installation / Packages / OSInstall.mpkg

3: Installation Complete

4: Installing Chameleon Score HDD 2.5 Zotac

5: I replace the directory with that of Extra ionitx_boot_v2.zip.

6: I replace the HDD 2.5 in my Zotac.

7: I start my Zotac: Panic

Does that files ionitx_boot_v2.zip are good for my setup?

Thanks

Hi Sabrina13

From the process you described, it seems to me that you forgot to replace the mach_kernel with an hacked one.

It may explain your KP.

Did you also check your bios settings ?

BTW, I am French too, et je te confirme que tout marche sur mon hack (installé dans un G4 Cube) avec 10.6.3 à l'exception du sleep)

Thank You all.

ps: mach_Kernel installed via OSX86Tools.

Installation it's OK.

my problem was AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext file, it must

deleted before replacing the HDD in the Zotac and nobody says.

I'll make an update to 10.6.3 from 10.6 and I come to tell you if

everything works.

I don't know if anyone is still interested on this topic, but I managed to get everything working on a zotac ionitx A-E under 10.6.4

shutdown, sleep, clean sound etc etc

Full solution here:

Is anyone here on 10.6.5? I've had issues with any audio and sleep on 10.6.5 with my IONITX-F-E from Zotac. When I attempt to sleep or shutdown, display shuts off but the fans and power button light are still on.

I'm using FakeSMC, SleepEnabler 10.6.5, NullCPUPowerManagement, and OpenHaltRestart for kexts. I've also modified my DSDT to deal with everything except for the MUTEX warnings.

I've seen some other people experience similar issues with the IONITX-F-E and I'm wondering if they ever resolved them.

Thanks!
