alvin777 Posted April 6, 2010 Share Posted April 6, 2010 Hi. On an iMac i7, 8GB, it it ok to just turn OFF (by default it's switched OFF) the additional security in Snow Leopeard 10.6.3. I already have WAP2 switched ON in the router, do I need to turn on Snow's software Firewall? Do I need to secure the virtual memory. If I turn on secure virtual memory, will it affect performance for this iMac and the internet much like how things slow down when you use secure Empty Trash securely in the Finder Preferences?
