Hello insanelymac-forums,

i just got 10.6.3 to work.

On following Hardware:

- Intel Q6600

- 2x2GB 1067mhz DDR2 Ram

- Asus P5K-SE

- nvidia 8800GT

All is working great. Only the Startup-time is a bit slow... but thats ok for me.

My main problem is... there is no DVD Drive in Snow Leopard.

Drive is well recognized in the BIOS. I also have two HDD via S-ATA in use - i can see them.

i dont know where the problem is :D

Here the Installprocess:

- Burned myHack to CD

- Boot with myHack

- Insert original 10.6.0 DVD

- install

- Boot again with myHack

- Boot to HDD

- Then i have installed my hardware via #####

- Restart

- Installed 10.6.3 Update

- Restart

The DVD Drive problem appears in 10.6.0 - after the first install - too !

Thanks for your help !

René

You need to install a driver for the drive controller that the DVD drive is connected to.

Check the P5K thread here, maybe there's something you can use:
