Hello, I have SL server installed and can't get the sound to work. My board is a MSI 790FX-GD70 which has a RRealtek ALC889 sound chipper. I've installed a couple of different 889 kext's with no luck. Anyone with this board manage to get the sound working? Could you post what kext you used. I don't need anything fancy I just have headphones hooked up to my comp. Don't really need 7,000 channels of audio, just need stereo sound.

Thanks

I will GIVE you a usb surround sound card. It came from a Plantronics M777. I have the same mother board. I have a retail Mac OS DVD. I gave up last year trying to do this. If you can help me set up my system then the sound card is yours.
