hi!

new to the forums. great to be here.

just had osx86 10.4.6 installed, and it actually runs wonderfully, but there are some "problems" (if i may call thmem that.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) though all the hardware is detected correctly as far as i can see, the video performance is kind of sluggish on graphic-intense applications or even screensavers. i am running on the intel 865G graphics card. is there any way i can improve performance? if not, is there a graphics card that works perfectly with osx86 that is AGP? (i'm thinking maybe fx5200 or ati 9600)

3) i am experiencing no artifacts or garbled text at all, and i'm not in safe mode. does this mean that i have quartz extreme?

3) lastly, how do i change color themes in osx86???

1. So far the best AGP card would be an ATI Radeon X1600. You can enable QE and CI on it and experience no or few mouse artifacts. Look for the Boris Badenov thread in Driver section of the forum.

If you want to go with nVidia, you can't use QE and CI for now. You will have to wait until someone (the MacVidia Team) will finish the driver.

2. Look in System Profiler > Hardware > Graphics/Displays. You should see there Core Image: supported and Quartz Extreme: supported.

3. System Prefernces > Appearance
