I've found a bunch of posts related to this board but and have followed a few install guides such as:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...248&st=1760

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;mode=threaded

My system is made up of:

EP43-UD3L

E3200

10.6 Snow Leopard retail disc

Asus EN 8400 GS

320g Sata

LG Dvdr

550w psu

I'm using my current computer, a powerbook G4 with 10.4.11, to prep the USB install drive. What I've done so far is:

1. Made image of Snow Lep disc

2. Restored image to my Sandisk Cruzer 8gig USB drive (formatted at 1 partition with GUID)

3. Run the patch software Snow Bootloader, Kakewalk and even the EP45UD3P package. Each separate tries.

4. Adjusted BIOS according to what the guides suggested (I think I have version 6)

5. Start up PC, making sure the SanDisk is the 1st boot drive and I can't get past "Verifying DMI Data Pool .... Update Success"

Where am I going wrong or what am I leaving out? Each one of these guides seems pretty straight forward so I'm surprised to not be able to get to at least the install sequence.

I'd really appreciate as much help as possible to get this thing up and running ASAP. Thanks.

Make sure the floppy disk is set to "none", also make sure your DVD is first boot option and in sata port 0

i haven't had success installing with the retail dvd either... could you point me in the right direction? i've tried kakewalk and have no success at all..

i've installed it with kakewalk and iAtkos v7.. but following all these guides almost didn't help.. i had installed it easier then any of the guides had said.. with the dual boot and all.. it all failed..

so i put mac on its own hard drive.. and had my winXP and win7 on one hard drive.. easybcd off of win7 and added the mac.. and now i got all three..

but i would like to have the snow leopard dvd installed since i did pay 50 for it..

thank you much in advance.

Hi there,

So you have your iAtkos v7 running right? Just use it to install your retail DVD to another partition on your Mac drive.
