I have a Custom Desktop currently running Win 7 Pro. I tried installing OSx86 10.5.7 and i got these last lines in VERBOSE mode:

==========================================

Backtrace terminated-invalid frame pointer 0

Mac OS version:

Not yet set

Kernal version:

Darwin Kernel Version 9.5.0: Sat Dec 6 19:39:54 IST 2008; Voodoo; release 1.0 :xnu-1228.7.58/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386

==========================================

What does this mean and how would i go about fixing this?...

I tried 10.5.5 & 6 and it told me a boat-load of READ-WRITE FAILs and this version is the closest i have gotten to loading the UI screen

i am having a similar query. i also have a custom pc running windows 7 . now i tried to install X with ideneb v1.5.1 with osX 10.5.7 . my hdd is in AHCI , and the dvd has been verified by the installer for consistency. But jst after that when it says installing ideneb 105.7 , time remained ... calculating it fails . i have taken a screen shot for the same.

i have tried installing with default kernel , with vodoo 9.7.0

also i have tried to apply apple smbios 800 fix , but it always gets stuck here.

i have my hdd partitioned in 4 parts. 1st is primary partition, other 3 are logical , i formatted my first partition in mac ox (journalised) but i did not select the mbR option from partitions . (as that needed to reformat my hdd and i have some data on my fourth (logical) partition, that i want to save) is there anything to do with this/?

BTW here are my computer specs:

E5200

Biostar P43 -A7 (its a p43 chipset) alc 662 audio , realtec 8111C lan

palit 9600GT 512MB ram

500 GB segate sata hdd

4GB ram @800mhz

okay i downloaded iATKOS v7, burned it with imgburn at 4x and started my desktop up with the disc in. after it loads the Intel screen it reads the disc and i hit F8 to go into a command line, i tried -v and -f [not -cpus1 cause i have a pentium D and not a dual core] and i even tried just letting the disc load without any command line, if/when i see the white screen with the apple logo and the loading wheel it stays there for about 2 minutes and then i hear a clicking sound inside my desktop and it just reboots and re-reads the disc all over again. when i went to -v and saw the text fly by i noticed that a few lines had some read and write fails.

What am i supposed to do now? I ultimately just want to go to snow leopard but i thought i would test and see if i could even run 10.5.X first. So if their is a way for me to just go to snow leopard [10.6.X] please post it...
