nofearl
If you have managed to get your brightness controls working (I used the dsdt trick) and you have no way to control levels with keyboard, there is a simple application: http://www.bergdesign.com/brightness/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/213452-tip-brightness-control-appliation/ Share on other sites

Slider has no effect at all! Any help? nofearl
It works if you have brightness control in Settings > Display. This app is like a shortcut, it doesn't fix it. Try http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=211705 to enable brightness slider... Do you think my lack of brightness slider could be why adjusting gamma/brightness in games doesn't work? What I find strange though, is that the sliders work in the Calibration app in Settings/Display OK.
