C.D.C
I have read numerous posts about people installing (or attempting to install) Leopard on thier 1501's. It seems that most have luck with the Leo4All V2 release. However, when I install it, I get the "still waiting for root device error". Can anyone tell me what specific settings I need to click or unclick on the Leopard install? Thanks in advance! its_on_now
Easiest is to download the latest IDeneb (10.5.8) and it will auto find your HD. Run the voodoo kernel (vanilla panics on me). Seatbelt fix, powermanagement, IOATA (i think is on there). Give it time to install as it will pause at various intervals for up to 10 mins. Reboot and go through set up. If it does the "waiting for root device" then type "rd=disk0s#" where # is the partition you loaded to. Until you get the IOATA.kext installed, you will need to identify this. Video is by Callistob003 and sound is by AppleHDA Patcher with drag and drop of ST9200 codec dump. I attached the starting files you will need, except the Patcher as I am limited in file sizes, but you can look it up on google. Enjoy. BTW - Leo4all requires the vmware install which is a pain IMHO, plus updates are really difficult so I used the latest IDeneb (already updated, so I could install Ilife) and removed windows entirely...
