envoys Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Hello, I just got an Asus K50ID laptop and was wondering if anyone had any input on getting this going in SL? No matter what I do in the BIOS, I can't get SL install to see the drive. Also, after this is installed, is there any support for the nVidia 320M 1gb card? I can't seem to find any info on this... is it built on something else that is supported and is a simple plist edit to add in the device id and vendor id? Thanks. Previously been running some optiplex and E6400/E6500 all vanilla, but with the new fam of notebooks considering upgrading. I see there has been some success running the 310M but to what extent is somewhat vague (they used Hazard distro). envoys Posted April 7, 2010 Author Share Posted April 7, 2010 Topic can be closed I guess, I took this laptop back and replaced with an HP. The asus wouldn't play HD 1080p videos I did without being choppy. HP plays them no problems...now to get SL working on it with core i3 processor.
