Hi All,

I have a Dell Latitude E6400 and everything works great except for Reboot, Shutdown, and Sleep.

It appears that this is related to the graphics driver. Whenever I turn on GraphicsEnabler, add device_props, or use an enabler like ATY_Init, I get proper graphics + QE, but it breaks Reboot and Shutdown.

The only graphics solution I haven't tried is patching my DSDT because I want to make sure I get my nvCaps right (I use docking stations and external monitors), so I probably need to patch one of the enablers to dump the nvCaps it uses. (The solutions that dump the ROM under DOS didn't work for me).

So, I guess my questions are:

1) Does patching the DSDT have a better chance of fixing my shutdown/restart problems?

2) Are there any other solutions I haven't tried?

Thanks.

Did you try to enable dual display as well?

With the Dell dock, I could get one of the DVI ports working fine in conjunction with the internal display using any of the regular solutions (GraphicsEnabler, nvInject, etc). However, I could not get both of the DVI ports to work simultaneously.

Eventually, I gave in and I'm now the proud owner of a new 15" core i7 MBP :D
