  2. [Help] Dell Latitude E6400

Thanks Man, but I've managed to download it from the first place already. It took only 2 euros, but well worth it:) I had to reinstall the chameleon after moved it to a partition, restart the apple setup, change the language from polish, remove your user and I've got a perfect, shiny new OS:) A big thanks for that! I've got only one job left, to replace the built-in Wifi with Dell 1390 one from D630. I think I've seen that you made a d630 as well recently with lion. I wonder did you have to install any kext, or is it recognized 1390 by default? Thanks, Dooky
  3. [Help] Dell Latitude E6400

Hey KoliberK:) Nice to see that you finally made the preinstalled DMG, but the site you have uploaded isn't really let us download it:( It requires payment to get 5.7GB transfer. WOuld you be able to upload it to different site? thanks, dooky
  4. [Help] Dell Latitude E6400

Hi, One of my friend has an e6500 10.7 install DVD made for e6500 only. It seems to be sooo easy to just install from that dvd, so I wonder if somebody wants to make a custom install dvd for e6400? I think a lot of members would appreciate it soo much;)
  5. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

I can't imagine how did you do that:) Do you have VGa output as well with shutdown? And how did you get ApplePS2Controller for 64bit? Thanks in advance
  6. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

Hi Guys, I haven't been trying this install in the last 6 months now, so wonder what is the current status? Is there anybody who got dual external monitors and reset/poweroff work?
  7. Did you try to enable dual display as well?
  8. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

Ok, I know it is for 6500, but I tried it on my 6400, just because you have working dual monitors!?? Obviously there are some parts which don't work, but the dual monitor doesn't either do the job. Well, as far as I can see the analog monitor works well, but the DVI doesn't even being recognized. Is it normal that the video cards shows as Chipset Model: I Can Has Model? How did you get DVI+analog as you referenced in the readme? Thanks in advance Will it solve the problem?
  9. Yes, your graphics seems to be ok, because you have hardcoded the video card and the resolution settings into your boot.plist. But I don't think you have QE or you can run games like with enabled graphicsenabler in the chameleon settings. The trick is: In chameleon if you enabled the Graphicsenabler option, it will recognize your card and the graphics part will be ok, but you lose your shutdown/restart If you disable it, you can operate with efi strings to get some feature of your card, but you will lose the dual screens and some other features, depends on your efi string, but you will have shutdown/restart. That is the problem for everyone.
  10. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

Mine doesnt even see the external HDD if it uses EFI partition to boot. Only the MBR can be seen from boot... And the Customer support confirmed today, the E6400 can't boot just from MBR partition if its external HDD

E6400 and USB HDD Hi lads, I'd have a question. Can you start any Operation System from USB harddrive with your E6400? I've installed a MAC to USB HDD, but when I try to boot from it, the PC can't even see the USB drive. Even if I select it as first in the boot sequences it can't see. Just 30 sec pause at the boot time and it cant see. I've spoken with the dell support and they said that's happening because the laptop can't find any Operation System on the HDD as it has no MBR but GUID table. I've tested the same Harddrive in an HP NC6120 and its boot from it. I wonder if anybody was able to use USB HDD to boot mac in latitude e6400. If yes, what can be wrong with mine?
  12. I dont know it was working for me 2 weeks ago. I have played with the sleep in my Latitude E6400 and now it doesn't work. I've downloaded the version1 and version2 as well, but none of them is working. I have a feeling that something else is wrong, can you please check my kexts to see where is the mistake? I think I have a dependency missing or something like this. kexts.rtf Thanks!
  13. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

Step2: Run the kext utility. You shouldn't care about the version as all of them doing the same... Kreeg: WOuld you mind sharing your kext output? I mean if you go to terminal and open up the next command: kextstat I wouold like to see which versions of which kexts you have. THanks in advance ps: I've attached mine (no reboot, no sleep, no poweroff, no hibernate, everything else is working) kexts.rtf
  14. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

I've tried your guide, but even if I have removed the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext from both locations, I have no option for startup after a power failure Has it worked for anybody else? Btw, are u using 32 or 64 bit?
  15. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

But at least the sleep is working:) I think until somebody confirm the sleep works with wake up as well, I won't play with it. Right now the sleep/shutdown/restart is the only problem I would need solution for on SL.
