mic.mac.hack
Been wondering for a while what the heck this "328 KB Config Disk Media" is. At bootup (running 10.6.2) occasionally a message will appear, the old: "This disk is not recognized; Initialize.., Eject, Ignore". In disk utility it appears as an internal SATA hard disk of size 327,680b, with no partition table, This is not really a problem per se, but I am very intrigued as to what this phantom disk may contain... Could it be the bios boot ROM? A hidden storage partition? A partion's boot sector? Any ideas? PS: I've had this happen with other hard drives and on older versions of OS X (far back as 10.5)
