  1. Anyone have any idea where to get one? Do you folks in the US have easy access to any low wattage and efficient power supplies? PM me if you can help, thanks in advance
  2. OMG SO WISH I LIVED IN NEW YORK! (Australia is a bit far away)
  3. [Trade]/[FS] Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R

I'll sell you my P5W DH Deluxe, it's a bit old but it does have RAID 0,1,5,10. I've never used it in OS X, but google around I'm fairly sure it should work. The main issue however is that I live in Australia, and postage to the US will be heaps. Also it is already on eBay, where I have chance of selling it to someone locally. However, if it doesn't sell and the guy in India (see the thread in this forum titled [ebay] P5W DH Deluxe..) falls through THEN I'll be willing to sell it you. Sounded reasonable when I started writing, but, it's kinda ridiculous Good luck finding a board
  4. [eBay] ASUS P5W DH Deluxe

Hmm... I have never posted anything internationally before. But if it doesn't sell on eBay I will be happy to sell it to you. Could you pay Australian dollars via paypal? Also, keep in mind that the postage to India will likely be another $40 or so (just a guess). Thanks for your interest
  5. [sell] Power Mac G5 Case

For sale: Powermac G5 case. In Sydney, Australia. Includes front panel cable and various cable diagrams. Original motherboard standoffs have been removed but there are no other physical changes to the case (no cut out sides, etc). $20AUD, reply to this topic or PM me if interested.
  6. [eBay] ASUS P5W DH Deluxe

Hi guys, I'm selling off my ASUS P5W DH Deluxe, $100AUD. This board supports all socket 775 processors and is very compatible with Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard. I'm currently running 10.6.3 with working sound, networking, graphics (via 9800GT, also for sale), SATA. Everything works and itis very quick. If you like I can include instructions and kexts that I used. The board has no physical issues and has been updated to BIOS 3001. Sadly this is the end of my hackintoshing (for now) as I'm moving to an unsupported platform http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ASUS-P5W-DH-Deluxe-...=item27b0c321fc Thanks in advance for any interes, Michael
  7. ALC882 Snow Leopard Drivers

Hey hey, confirmed working in 10.6.3 I simply deleted SleepEnabler from /Extra/Extensions/ (left everything else the same) and AppleHPET from /S/L/E (after installation). Left everything else the same. When I rebooted sound was dead, but reinstalling just AppleHDA in S/L/E gave the same functionality as before Upgrade away!
  8. Been wondering for a while what the heck this "328 KB Config Disk Media" is. At bootup (running 10.6.2) occasionally a message will appear, the old: "This disk is not recognized; Initialize.., Eject, Ignore". In disk utility it appears as an internal SATA hard disk of size 327,680b, with no partition table, This is not really a problem per se, but I am very intrigued as to what this phantom disk may contain... Could it be the bios boot ROM? A hidden storage partition? A partion's boot sector? Any ideas? PS: I've had this happen with other hard drives and on older versions of OS X (far back as 10.5)
  9. Does OS X treat SSDs in the correct manner? All this talk of Windows 7's great support for SSDs and how Vista and XP can stuff up your SSD has got me thinking; surely OS X would be in the same boat as XP + Vista, would it not? No TRIM support + perhaps improper treatment of the drive resulting in wear and tear and then... DEATH Does anyone have experience with running OS X from an SSD?
  10. ALC882 Snow Leopard Drivers

Dang, pity really. Perhaps you could try the latest version of VoodooHDA, output worked for me (not sure about 5.1) but the inputs were stuffed which is the main audio "component" I need. Sorry I can't be of more help
  11. [GUIDE] Retail Snow Leopard Install on Asus EeePC 1000HE

Excuse me moondog, could you please psot somewhere a zip file containing the actual Kext's inside your Extensions.mkext?? All the programs I have tried fail to extract it. I would like to know the actual extensions so as to be able to customise and tweak my system more freely. I almost have it working without your mkext but want to dig around and see what kexts you have that I'm missing. Regards, Michael
  12. ALC882 Snow Leopard Drivers

there have been a fair few downloads, how are the kexts working out for those downloaders? I've got mine still installed and its running strong
  13. I dualboot Windows 7 and Snow Leopardone my 1TB hard drive using EasyBCD. I tried and tried to make it work with Chameleon but was forever unsuccessful. I installed (CCCed) Snow Leopard onto the first partition, installed Chameleon RC3, installed Windows 7 then installed EasyBCD from Windows 7 to play with the boot order. Works perfectly!
  14. Ok, it is working PERFECT. Front panel mic works (not back), so does line-in, headphones and line-out! whoot! mic even works after reboot. for the record I've got my audio set to "Vista" mode in the BIOS, not sure whether it makes any difference... THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE AGAIN!
  15. OMG!! THESE KEXTS HAVE MADE MY INPUTS WORK O_O! I am so pumped! Thanks so much matemago and YoMuS. Just installing Garageband now to test the line-in (in sys prefs it shows input levels relevant to how loud I pluck the guitar strings!). Then I'm gonna do like a buzillion reboots and make sure IT STAYS FIXED WHOOT!
