Hey you guys, I have installed 10.6.2 sucessfully after a dozens of try and a great help from user BrownDogFred. He recommended me to buy a retail Snow Leopard DVD and an 8GB USB Drive since we had the same machine he wanted me to follow his guide. It worked after all, but I've bought a new Graphic Card.

nVidia GE Force GT 220X 1024mb to be exact. I have searched the forum so many times, visited so many threads about this card, but no one really shared how they got it working. Can any of you help me? I think I just need to add the <string /> to the com.apple.Boot.plist

Any help is very much appreciated

Try using NVEnabler from http://www.kexts.com and place that in SLE with the correct permission.

It worked for my GT220 1gb

why not just use 'GraphicsEnabler=Yes' without quotes as a boot argument!

If it works, as it should, then add to boot.plist .. !

Thank you guys. So, FormerlyKnownAs your method sounds bit cleaner than hacking etc Should I just go ahead and <Key>Kernel Flags</key><string>GraphicsEnabler=Yes</string> ?

Thanks guys!

You'll need to be using a version of Chameleon/ PC EFI that has GraphicsEnabler.

Not sure if it matters byt should be entered in boot.plist as:

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>

<string>y</string>

I've just done <GraphicsEnabler /key> also with the string set to Yes. No go. It detects it as my graphic card is some 32mb :'(

How do you install NVenabler? Should I just throw it in my SLEkext folder? Also, I think I have Chameleon RC4 provided within EFI Finisher

Sticking with GraphicsEnabler=Yes in your boot.plist -

if you are using EFI by netkas then try typing at boot -pci1

if that works it can be added to boot.plist

if you using chameleon straight then type PciRoot=1

can be added to boot.plist as <key>PciRoot</key> <sting>yes</

I'm going to try it. Thanks a lot for your time! I have no idea what version of Chameleon I'm using, but I know Chameleon RC4 has been installed with EFI Finisher tool.

Thanks again!, gonna reboot :)

I've done it myself guys. OSX 86 Tool helped me generate a device-property string. First time, and I nailed it. I think anyone can use it and have their Graphic Cards working.

Thanks guys!

iMoshi, could you please explain how you've done it? Also, what kext do you have in the Extra's folder and your SLE boot.plist?

Thanks.
