So, did you have any luck?

A friend of mine gave me a PC to turn it into hackintosh, and I'm stuck trying to make 7100GS work under SL.....

I've searched through the whole internet and found some fragmented info.... but nothing clear....

Any help?

TIA!

Without any injector being installed, did you try to add the following key to your boot.plist?

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>

<string>Yes</string>

You should try Chameleon RC4 or above. You could look at this bootloader as well.

Yes, I'm using last myHack version (it's Chameleon).

Strange thing is that my own hackintosh boot.plist says:

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>

<string>Y</string>

It only says "Y", not "YES" and it works....

In my friend's hack it says the same as i've used the same myhack.... should I change it to full YES???

EDIT: Just tried OSX86 Tools to put an EFI string and still out of luck....

Sorry for updating an old post but I'm still trying to get this Graphics Card to work on Snow Leopard and haven't figured it out yet. Can anyone help me to get this graphic card work, I just want to change the resolution from 800 x 600 to 1280 x 720 and be able to play videos.

Finally I've never got it to work, so I've changed it for a nVidia 7600GT that I had unused.

Recently I've hackintoshed another one, and it also had an 7100. We changed it for a 8400GS and it worked perfectly.

Best regards.

So there's no way to make it work. For the first thing I just want the resolution changed from 800x600 to 1280x720 and then if possible enable the rest.

For the resolution maybe SwitchResX will do.

But no QE/CI, so it's almost useless.

Best regards.

Past 10.6.2, there is no 64-bit driver support for Geforce 7 series. Boot in 32-bit mode. For PC_EFI use -x32, for Chameleon use arch=i386.

Sometimes GraphicsEnabler or Injector.kext is not enough, you need to manually modifiy the nvidia drivers to add support for your video card. Google 'guide for all nvidia boards' to learn how.

1)But there is no way in 64 bit even using the guide you posted?

2)Also people are reporting success on the older nvidia 6200 card here:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=185428&st=20 and using either dsdt or other methods and have reported success on older cards. How is that possible. The post for DSDT even says change to your card for 64 Bit.

@Abhi_UK, the DSDT edits make it so theoretically it can work in 64bit, but, if what Gringo is saying is true, then it wouldn't matter since the driver is only 32 bit. On my 6800 AGP, I only used 32 bit because my CPU wasn't 64 bit.

1)So is that HPET 32 bit instead of 64 bit mode. What does that even do? I have only changed that to run snow leopard as I have been running 64-Bit Windows 7 with 4gb ram on hpet 32-Bit mode.

2)But in that thread I talked about earlier how are people getting older graphics cards to work. Would a Nvidia 6200 work in 64-Bit mode?

I though snow leopard only came in 64 Bit.

In a way it does. Snow Leopard can run 64-bit apps just fine in 32-bit kernel and drivers mode.

Read: http://osxbook.com/blog/2009/08/31/is-your...ow-leopard-k64/

The first thing I was wondering is in that thread someone got an older card 6200 working in 64 Bit using DSDT. Would that be possible for 6200 or 7100?

So how do I actually get mine into 32 Bit Mode? (I've checked system profiler which says Yes to 64 Bit Kernel and Extensions)

Will my system still run quick and everything working as it is now. For example I had to install kexts to get audio working?

And after I have followed the guide for all Nvidia Boards, will Resolution, QE/CI all be enabled and working properly? (There is one thing, it tells me to add device ID in 2 kexts and in one of them <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> that is there for me so I can edit the strings after but in NVDAResman.kext it isn't.)

Edit: I cant add my device ID in NVDAResman.kext because I am in 10.6.5, can i still enable my graphics card using that method but skipping that kext?

Thanks for the Help. Can you answer all questions please.
