Guest delweeg
Im thinking of buying HP xw4200 (http://www.hp.com/workstations/pws/index.html). Is it good enough for MacOS X as a clone to Dev Kit? If not - which one is nearly perfect? Hagar
Taking a quick look at The HP site, it's hard to find clear information on that machine. The Wiki(See the top of the page) Has an HCL which lists the 925x chipset as compatible, but the more you find out about the components in the particular machine, the better your chances are of getting a good answer from that list. You really need to do the homework yourself. You have the tools, use them. When you make your choice, come back & let us know how it works. Good Luck! Tornado
Running a P4 3.0 on an MSI 925XE Neo Mainboard, Intel Lan works, Azillia Audio Works (with a LITTLE work, had to kextload it one time and then it runs on its own from there) USB Works (a little at first, FULLY after deleting one kext file) Firewire works, PS2 ports work with kext files from darwin Really have a fully functional system except for video support, running an ATI X700 PCIE graphics adapter, no driver support for it YET. That's my story Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2125-will-intel-925x-do-the-job-for-915/#findComment-13969 Share on other sites
