Can't get OSX86 to boot!

Hi,

I just had a succesful installation of OSX86 today....for a while! :)

I installed it on the second partition (partition 1) on my first harddrive. On the first partition I run Windows XP! To begin with I could not boot into OSX86 when I used the GRUB bootloader, which I have done for a long time - suddenly if I choose OSX86 after 'Start Grub' it goes back to the bootloader screen!? And I have set the harddrive and partition to the correct numbers in the MENU.LST (the way I have done that millions of times) but now it does not work!

I then deleted GRUB and decided to activate the partition where OSX86 was installed, then it booted via the built-in Darwin bootloader - and everything worked perfect (QE/CI, DVI ect) Then I took out the DVD from my drive (the OSX86 installer DVD) and restarted my PC. Then it went into the boot screen with the apple - but after a a few minutes is showed a 'stop sign' just above the apple and it seems to just freez!?

What is the best way to boot OSX86? If I choose to boot using the Windows bootloader (with chain0) it gives me an error saying that I'm missing a HAL.dll file!? I then tried to fix it by following a guide from wiki about that specific problem, but that did not help!

So I'm quite confussed about how to boot my OSX86!? If I decide to reinstall it on my second harddrive, then how do I make OSX86 boot from that harddrive!?

I know it works, but it just seem to f*** up in the booting everytime! Can someone please help me. I have tried to search, and a lot have had problems too, but those fixes/solutions have not worked for me yet!?

Well.

Chain0 is designed to find any 0xAF partions in your PC, methinks.

I dont get where HAL.dll comes from, especially when its at boot stage. (No DLLs loaded yet!

Try re-downloading chain0, adding the C:\chain0="Mac OS X" line to boot.ini and deleting your old mac partition.

Also, does OS X x86 support IDE?
