Gabecm
Hi I have had a thought and i was talking to someone about where unix and linux stand in and it came to me. I thought there should be a hackintosh OSx86 distro made by a community or worldwide group of developers, testers and users so anyone that is interested in helping me get this off the ground (by the way i am no unix developer XD) can just come up with starting ideas in this topic that include such things as 1. the name 2. the bundled drivers and apps 3.the different variants (i was hoping there would be a dual layer version) 4. the amount of customization (e.g. change icons or leave it all be or many versions have different looks) etc. this would be the biggest production of osx86 software and likely to be most popular giving this kind of power to a community of people who can either (or both) now what they want and or get what they want in an operating system. This community would make graphics drivers that work to be specifically bundled with such an OS. any other thoughts on this are appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/212262-community-based-osx86-distro/ Share on other sites
cringemaster
Considering how many tutorials and threads there are about installing from a retail disc, distros and ideas like this are no longer relevant.
