Krishna21
Now, I've been seeing alot of posts of people using Apple Software Update on their OSx86 Machines and coming to a Kernel Panic..screwing up their Hack. Well, I was too lazy to read why they attempted the software update, but out of a guess, I'd say since they wanted to run apps requiring either 10.5.7 or 10.5.8 or higher, and their machine is running Leopard 10.5.5 or lower.. So. How do you fix this, without having to risk your system? Follow this fix. Navigate to: System Library Core Services Then on the bottom you should find SystemVersion.plist. Drag it to your desktop, and open it (from your desktop) Now, REPLACE all 10.5.X's (X being the version you currently have) with 10.5.8! Save it, then drag that back into Core Services. Reboot your "Mac" (Lol). Then when you restart, head to "about This Mac", if it shows upa s 10.5.8 then you can install your apps you want ! UPDATE: People are viewing this..if it works..reply Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/212232-tutorial-how-to-run-apps-like-ilife-and-iwork-09-on-pre-1058-systems-without-apple-software-update/ Share on other sites
