I have 10.4.6 running like a dream, it all works but ide and mic input......

If it's not broken, dont fix it......

My advice is "if you hacintosh does everything you want and need" wait until the update's and patches have an easier upgrade process.....

Hi there, I have 10.4.5 running smoothly - is the risk to upgrade to 10.4.6 or 7 worthwhile? I mean, what do you gain?

thank

in short not much.

and the same can really be said for whatever comes forward. This isnt a knock at the project, but really the .7 update has no new kexts included, and no new kernel. Yea I updated from .6, by short of it saying 10.4.7 in the about screen it's almost a joke, because short of security updates and whatever new versions of itunes it's not 10.4.7. As time passes, all these releases are using an outdated kernel. Heck dual core laptops arent even supported with the patches. Unless we find a way to patch the newer kernels, it appears that the future of the OSX86 project will be like replacing everything in an old car while leaving the original aging engine. If I knew how to, I would be on it, but I dont. I can do other things.

It is important to talk about because this is an ongoing project not an automatic service and I think it is important for the future of OSX86.

So is it worth it? well if you dont have any problems with your setup currently, probably not, unless you like to see the #7. ;)
