Hi there

I have an HP Pavillion dv6700 Special Edition notebook that I have successfully installed the generic Snow Leopard DVD onto cleanly, yet the onboard keyboard and trackpad both don't work at all. I have tried various modified ApplePS2Controller kexts as well as the voodoo ps2 kext but alas my problem is still here. Only a USB keyboard and mouse work.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

I had this problem in my Acer Aspire One 150. Try the FN+Fx combination (Fx is the function key with the hand on touchpad icon, in my case F7) to enable them, or press the special button above the touchpad, if any. In rare cases, this is enabled from BIOS. If it doesn't work at once, do it and try rebooting. In next startup it will work, or press the combination again to make it work.

I am having exactly the same problem. Installed retail SL with no problems today. It seems this laptop is a tricky one to get going! Ethernet and Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS work out of the box. These seem to be about the only things that do...

Wireless is Intel 3945ABG, currently trying to find a fix for this but seems like these cards have plagued hackintoshes for years. Other things I will be trying to fix are the Ricoh card reader, Intel HDA (0x284b) and of course the keyboard and trackpad. I have also tried Voodoo's PS2 and trackpad extensions with no luck.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.
