If your system is running fine now, there's no need to update it. Beerkex'd Posted February 28, 2010 Share Posted February 28, 2010 You can't install Macintosh firmware updates on a PC. Your PC doesn't have any Macintosh firmware to update, it's a PC. If you don't want to see firmware updates, edit /extra/smbios.plist and change your boot rom version so that it matches the latest version available for the Macintosh model you're spoofing. Read more here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1400949 If you see an SMC firmware update and you're using fakesmc.kext, first make sure you have latest version of fakesmc, available at Netkas' blog. If the SMC firmware update still appears after rebooting, change the reported SMC version by editing the plist inside fakesmc.kext so that it matches the latest SMC firmware version for the Mac model identifier you're using.
